Given that Canada Port Authorities (CPA) were created by an Act of Parliament, the Canada Marine Act, there are many issues under that Act with which all in the port community must contend. The Association works hard on behalf of its members to ensure that they are familiar with government actions that impact their daily business activities. More importantly, the Association works with government officials to create the optimum public policy environment for the port community specifically, and the marine sector in general.
