Canada Port Authorities (CPA) have a strong responsibility to ensure the sustainable development of transportation within the cities and harbours in which they conduct business. Canada's major ports have taken a number of initiatives to ensure that they work toward helping Transport Canada achieve key objectives related to its three-year Sustainable Development Strategy. That strategy complements the work being done by individual members of the Association and the ongoing work of the ACPA Board and, specifically, the Environment Committee of the Association.
