Much of what the Association does on behalf of its
members is based on a foundation of solid research. In order to
be an effective advocate for the port community the Association
ensures that substantive research is conducted before formal positions
are finalized. This involves extensive investigation of critical
issues and wide consultation with all stakeholders in the port community,
both public and private. The Association does its homework before
making interventions on behalf of its members.
